Project 1:
Movie Poster
This project represented the accumulation of the class tutorials I had completed with the tutors up to this point. Skills touched upon during the tutorials such as hatching, lettering, and sketching; human figures, man-made, and natural elements were to be put to use in creating a movie poster. The tutorials were easily accessible through Dr. Lia YouTube channel and I  found them preferable over in person tutorials; they were straight to the point, easily referenceable, and everything can be seen and heard clearly, whereas the in person tutorials fell short in those aspects. The tutorials felt linear and straightforward, I fulfilled the requirements and did not push any further than asked of me. Because of that I found the transition to a creative movie poster quite awkward.

I chose color pencils as my medium, in hindsight it was not the best choice for a movie poster as it was time consuming and exhausting. Moreover it lacked vibrance and pop as a result it does not draw much attention notably on the lettering. Upon further reflection I have noticed that I tend to have a rigid approach in sketching and the fact that it is not one of my stronger points does not do it any favors. A more free flowing or loose approach may present a more desirable outcome.

This project played a major role in helping me understand different types of drawings architects use and the purposes they serve, the techniques behind executing them, and the tools used to do so. Starting with Orthographic projections, then axonometric projections, and lastly perspectives.

Farnsworth House as a subject was simple enough to help introduce architectural drawing. The YouTube resources provided by Dr. Lia and Mr. Adib and the lectures by Ar. Zahari were sufficient in guiding us through the project. During this project I came to realize the importance of giving myself a generous amount of time to produce my drawings.

Project 3:
Presentation Board
& Model Making
This project was particularly challenging; restrictions in scales and board size demanded by design studio tutors made the task of creating a composition with intention behind it difficult. Rather than planning a composition; improvising was the only choice as the drawing the my composition rather than the other way around. Nevertheless, I composed a simple boxy grid like composition for the drawings which I could fit in the board, as for the others I left them as is. Meanwhile I also faced an enormous challenge making my model. I lacked the experience and knowledge to translate my design into a scaled model; I found the complex curves awfully difficult to depict in my scaled model. The majority of my time was spent in experimenting using different materials and methods. I used wires, aluminum sheets, cloth, and balsa in my attempts at making the model, in other words I bit more than I can chew.
