Project : 1
Diagramming Architectural Principles
During the first project, in a group setting, I learned to identify an architect and their work through analysis and diagramming. The analysis process begins by investigating the architect, his background, design philosophies, and past works. We then consider the context and client whilst we analyze the architectural drawings. Synthesizing all these different faucets of data allowed us to gain insight into the abstraction process that led to the final design. By doing so, we were able to pinpoint the design intentions and architectural principles utilized by the architect. Finally, using pure and diagrammatic models and drawings we highlighted the key distinguishable components of the design to express the intentions and principles of the architect.

Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality
Tropical Rainforest Discovery Platform
During project 2 we made use of what we learned from the previous project and used our understanding of architectural principles to expand on and explore our conceptual and abstraction procedure to produce a design strongly driven and defined by them. To do so, we began by researching a hypothetical tropical setting to host our project, we then considered the different types and effects of different materials based on the spatial quality we wanted to achieve and the principles we wished to further push from out first project to produce a simple structure with a strong driving concept and intention through the use of architectonics.
Project: 3
Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User
Tropical Wildlife Discovery Unit
Project 3 was a culmination of what I had learned up to this point; utilizing architectural design elements and principles as a part of my design process and exploration of material. Further than that, my design must also correspond to the immediate site context and the activity of discovery as well as the user. The conceptualizing decisions made during the design process took into consideration the site study conducted and responded it. It also took into consideration the users and the spatial requirements; a discovery space, a working space, a discussion space, a resting area, and a washroom. The final design demanded a cohesive synthesis of all the elements that compromise the design to deliver on principle and function.
