Project 1:
Group Analysis Report

Through the lectures and this project I learned to employ architectural vocabulary in my analysis. I also gained a perspective on the historical periods through an architectural lens and the learned to distinguish the significant characteristics of  different time periods in history. I also learned to interpret the factors which influence the final form of a structure, such as; the history, the function, the architect, theological beliefs, materials availability and many others. I was able to employ what I had learned in a group setting successfully and produce a rich analysis of  two significant markers of the renaissance period; the Florence Cathedral & Tempietto.

Project 2:
Sketch Analysis

This project sought to preserve the architectural shift witnessed amid a crucial juncture in Malaysian history; the dissolvement of British control proceeded by the independence of Malaysia. Following the momentous Merdeka was a wave of bold and proud expression. However, time knows no mercy and these expressions formed by such an important time in Malaysian history are at risk of being lost forever. By documenting, analyzing, and interpreting we can gain a better understanding of the historical context surrounding these significant markers in history and how it formed these structures.
